(WFRV) – The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has announced a new tool designed to help private well owners with their water tests.
The new tool is Be Well Informed, and it’s a partnership between the DNR, Wisconsin Department of Health Services and multiple UW-Madison groups to design it.

Wisconsin has over 800,000 private wells, serving about 25% of the state.
Local 5’s Stacy Engebretson spoke with Marty Nessman, the DNR’s Private Water Supply Section Manager, about the new program.
