CHILTON, Wis. (WFRV) – Authorities in Chilton say a man from De Pere is dead and two others, including a child, are hurt following a three-vehicle crash on Monday night.
According to a release from the Calumet County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded at 8:12 p.m. to the intersection of State Highway 57 and Schneider Road in the Town of Chilton for reports of a three-vehicle crash.
Officials say a vehicle heading north on State Highway 57 crossed into the southbound lane and crashed into two oncoming vehicles.

The driver of the northbound vehicle, a 77-year-old man from De Pere, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of one of the southbound vehicles, a 39-year-old Appleton man, was not hurt in the crash.
The driver of the other southbound vehicle, a 50-year-old man from Keil, and a child passenger were taken to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
Deputies report that alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash. Names of those involved are not being released at this time pending the notification of family.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing and anyone who may have witnessed the crash is asked to contact the Calumet County Sheriff’s Office.
