OSHKOSH, Wis. (WFRV) – A 19-year-old is now in custody after a reported domestic incident led to a standoff in Winnebago County on Saturday night, authorities say.
According to a release from the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded at 8:06 p.m. to a home on the 4900 block of US 45 South for reports of a domestic incident involving a firearm.

An investigation immediately began, and a standoff ensued. Deputies attempted to negotiate a surrender with the suspect but were unsuccessful.
Officials say the SWAT Team was then utilized, and a 19-year-old man was taken into custody around 12:30 a.m. on the following charges:
- Disorderly conduct with a firearm
- 1st–degree recklessly endangering safety
- Failure to comply
- Resisting arrest
No one was hurt in the incident, and there is said to be no connection to a nearby school other than the proximity of the home.
No other information is available, and officials expect the suspect to appear in court on Tuesday for a bond hearing related to the arrest.
