(WFRV) – Police in Wisconsin are now investigating an incident after a child was sent to the hospital when they were hit by a vehicle while on their way to school.
According to a release from the Madison Police Department, officers responded at 10:22 a.m. on Thursday to the 5600 block of Russett Road for reports of a child being hit by a vehicle.

Police say the child was on their way to school at the time of the incident and needed to be taken to the hospital. The driver remained on the scene and was not cited for any traffic violation.
No other information is available at this time and an investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
