(WFRV) – A new dog park is coming to Outagamie County, and officials are inviting everyone in the community to help decide its name.
According to a release, the name of the new dog park will take two phases: one phase for submitting names, and a second phase for a public vote on the selected finalists.

Starting on Monday, March 2, Outagamie County will accept suggestions for what the community thinks the new dog park should be named. The name suggestions can be submitted here, and must include the name of the person submitting, their address, and the name they are suggesting for the new dog park.
All names for the new dog park must be submitted by Friday, March 20. After submissions for the name of the new dog park close, county officials will review the submitted names and determine 5-8 finalists, depending on the number of submissions received.
This is a fun way for our residents to leave their mark on a new community space. We’re excited to see the creative ideas that come in.
Thomas Nelson, Outagamie County Executive
After selecting the finalist names, the community will be invited to take part in a vote that will start on April 6 and end on April 20.
Once the voting period ends, the official name of the new dog park will be announced and the person who submitted the name suggestion will be invited to participate in the ribbon-cutting at the new dog park’s grand opening, which is scheduled for the last week of May.
Updates, including the finalist names and voting details, will be provided via Outagamie County’s official communication and social media channels.
