EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WFRV) – A driver in western Wisconsin was arrested for allegedly impersonating a Chicago PD officer and trying to pull over another driver on Thursday.
According to the Eau Claire Police Department, on February 26, another driver reported that he was attempting to be pulled over by a sedan with flashing white and blue lights.
Officers subsequently pulled over the suspect vehicle, which was noted to be the subject of previous similar behavior. During the traffic stop, the suspect reportedly denied impersonating law enforcement.

Following a search of the vehicle, officers reportedly found a replica Chicago Police Department badge and a pistol-style BB gun.
The suspect was arrested for impersonating a peace officer.
