MOUNT PLEASANT, Wis. (WFRV) – A mid-January shooting in Wisconsin that left one person injured has resulted in eight arrests and numerous drug seizures.
Internet tip leads to ICAC arrest of 18-year-old Wisconsin man for possession of child porn
The Mount Pleasant Police Department reported that the shooting occurred around 2 a.m. on January 18 between separate groups in the 2100 block of Racine Street, which initially began as a confrontation but escalated into the shooting.
One person was shot in the leg, but has since been released from the hospital, and eight people were identified by investigators for alleged involvement.

Multiple local and federal agencies executed 10 separate arrest and search warrants, including the FBI, ATF and U.S. Marshal’s Service. All eight people identified were arrested with charges pending; however, on Wednesday, investigators recovered a large sum of drugs and guns:
- 23 firearms
- 26 grams of crack cocaine
- 245 grams of THC
- 310 grams of synthetic THC
The other involved local agencies were the Racine and Kenosha Police Departments as well as the Racine County Sheriff’s Office.
