GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – Packers wide receiver Christian Watson appears to have gotten good news Monday morning as his injury from Sunday’s game is not believed to be long-term.
As first reported by ESPN’s Rob Demovsky, sources have reported that Watson went to a hospital in Denver on Sunday for a CT scan as a precaution and the scan showed there were no issues with his lungs.
Watson was injured during an interception in the third quarter of the Packers 34-26 loss to the Denver Broncos on Sunday.
The 4th-year wide receiver has played in 8 games since returning from a torn ACL. Over the course of those 8 games he has logged 28 receptions for 481 yards and 5 touchdowns.
Demovsky states that Watson’s latest injury is not expected to be long-term and his status for the matchup with the Bears Saturday night will be determined later in the week.
