GALE, Wis. (WFRV) – Authorities in Wisconsin say the driver who was hurt following a crash Sunday evening is now in custody.
According to a release from the Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded at 5:06 p.m. to reports of a two-vehicle crash on US Highway 53 near County Road TT in the Town of Gale.

Officials state that a Cadillac was heading south on US Highway 53 when it crossed the center line into the northbound lanes and crashed with a northbound Acura.
The occupants of the Acura were said to have refused medical transport. Meanwhile, the driver of the Cadillac was taken to the hospital for minor injuries and was later arrested for OWI.
No other information is available at this time and the names of those involved are not being released. An investigation through the Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Office remains ongoing.
