NEENAH, Wis. (WFRV) – During a traffic stop recently, two Neenah Police Department officers helped to rescue a kitten that had fallen into a sewer.

A Facebook post from the Department shows the rescued kitten being held by Officers Koponen and McLevige, saying the rescue happened during a night shift traffic stop along Marathon Avenue.
During the traffic stop, both officers said they heard a cat meowing repeatedly, and they ended up finding the cold and scared kitten in a street sewer.

After the traffic stop, both officers were able to rescue the kitten and bring it to the safety of the Neenah Animal Shelter.
