MANITOWOC, Wis. (WFRV) – Police in Manitowoc are asking the public to help identify the owner of a dog that reportedly bit a minor riding a scooter on Monday afternoon.
According to a release, a man was walking his dog around 4 p.m. on Monday in the 1700 block of South 26 Street. Officials say the dog appears to be a black pit bull.

The involved juvenile was riding a scooter past the dog and its owner when they reportedly felt pain in their leg. The juvenile reportedly had a puncture wound consistent with a dog bite, and headed home to treat the wound; however, the dog owner continued to walk.
The owner was in blue jeans, a grey sweatshirt and a red/tan baseball hat. Officials are asking anybody with information to reach out to the Manitowoc Police Department at (920) 686-6551 or through the P3 App.
