LOS ANGELES, Cali. (WFRV) – The Brewers are on the brink of elimination after dropping Game 3 of the National League Championship Series to the Los Angeles Dodgers, 3-1, on Thursday night.

The Brewers went out of the bullpen to start with Aaron Ashby on the mound, who allowed a leadoff triple to the slumping superstar Shohei Ohtani, who scored immediately on a Mookie Betts double as the Dodgers led 1-0 in the first inning.
Rookie Jacob Misiorowski took the mound after Ashby recorded just one out, as the flamethrowing right-hander pitched strongly for the next five innings.
The Brewers got a triple of their own in the second inning, courtesy of Caleb Durbin, who was brought in by Jake Bauers on a follow-up single.
The game remained fairly quiet for a while afterwards, as Misiorowski pitched strongly with nine strikeouts and just three hits with a walk; however, in the sixth inning, the Dodgers took back the lead.
Los Angeles’ Will Smith hit a single to left, followed by Freddie Freeman’s walk and then a single by Tommy Edman gave the Dodgers a 2-1 lead, ending Misiorowski’s night.
A throwing error on a pickoff from Abner Uribe brought Freeman home to give the reigning World Series champions a 3-1 lead. The 7th inning saw the Brewers’ young star Jackson Chourio leave mid at-bat after seemingly re-aggravating an ongoing hamstring injury.
The Brewers’ bats went down quietly from there, as the Brewers dropped the game 3-1, pushing them to the brink of their magical season coming to an end at the hands of the reigning World Series champion Los Angeles Dodgers, who will have up to four chances to win their fifth NL Pennant since 2017.
