APPLETON, Wis. (WFRV) – A garage fire in Appleton caused over an estimated $200,000 worth of damage Tuesday afternoon, officials say.
According to a release from the Appleton Fire Department, crews responded at 2:06 p.m. for reports of smoke and fire showing from a home on the 2100 block of East Esther Street.

Upon arrival, firefighters found an attached garage on fire. Using handlines and a ladder master stream, they were able to bring it under control in less than ten minutes.
The fire resulted in an estimated amount of over $200,000 and an investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing.
