MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WFRV) – If it weren’t clear enough, the hype for the Milwaukee Brewers’ postseason opener is real, and officials are reminding residents to be mindful as a result.
The Calumet County Sheriff’s Office says to beware, as no matter what the event, people are always going to try and scam you, especially with high-demand ticket sales.

“Buyer beware! It doesn’t matter if it’s Brewers, Packers, or T-Swift; someone is always trying to scam,” the release said.
Some of the tips provided were as follows:
- Try to purchase from the venue’s approved box office, if possible
- If tickets are not available, use a reputable app for the resale market, a locally trusted vendor or an individual you personally know and trust
- Use a credit card with purchase protection
- Do NOT purchase from online strangers

Officials say that these slight precautions are critical, as otherwise, you may not be able to enjoy the event you seek to attend.
The Brewers host their division rival Chicago Cubs, for Game 1 of the 2025 National League Divisional Series on Saturday, with first pitch set for 1:08 p.m.
