(WFRV) – Soup and beer fans are getting a new mash-up this fall. Campbell’s Chunky is partnering with Pabst Blue Ribbon to launch two beer-infused soups, available exclusively at Walmart stores starting this month.
A press release says the lineup includes Beer Cheese with Potatoes & Chorizo Soup and Beef, Bacon & Beer Chili with Beans, both flavored with PBR beer.

Pabst Blue Ribbon has deep roots in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It was first brewed there in 1844 and became one of the city’s most iconic beers, helping to cement Milwaukee’s reputation as the beer capital of America.
Campbell’s has ties to Wisconsin through its Madison research hub and local dairy suppliers, linking the state to some of the company’s most popular soups and snacks.
To celebrate the launch, the brands will host a bar takeover at Ray’s Bar in New York City on August 21, where fans will sample the new recipes and enjoy a cold PBR.
A national food truck tour hits the road on September 3 at Walmart locations across the county, giving shoppers a chance to try the soups on-site.
“This is the ultimate flavor collaboration,” said Ryan Pawling, Senior Brand Manager, Campbell’s Chunky. “Our fans love bold, unexpected taste experiences, and pairing Chunky’s hearty recipes with the iconic, malty flavor of PBR brings something totally unique to the soup aisle.”
