The Latest from Storm Team 5…
It has been a warm and muggy one out there today. For tonight, expect a few clouds to return late with a chance for a stray shower. Lows tonight on the warm side in the upper 60s and low 70s.
We do have an AIR QUALITY ALERT until 11pm for our lakeshore counties as ozone is being mixed down to surface by the stable marine layer.
Wednesday will start off with increasing clouds and a chance for an isolated shower. The best rain and storm chance arrives for the afternoon and evening. A few of the storms could be strong to severe, with damaging winds, hail and gusty winds being the main impacts. Tornado threat is low but non zero. Highs will range from the mid 70s up north to the low 80s elsewhere. Rainfall amounts could range up to 1-2″ with an isolated 3″ report, as these storms will be slow movers. Localized areas of flooding are possible.
Thursday, high temperatures fall all the way down to the low 70s with the mugginess taking a break as well. Daybreak showers and clouds lead to drier skies in the afternoon.
Friday kicks off the weekend with a sunny day and temperatures in the mid 70s. Saturday we will rise back to the upper 70s with some isolated thunderstorms possible. Then Sunday finishes off the weekend with a mix of sun and clouds with temps in the upper 70s.
