DE PERE, Wis. (WFRV) – In a fun and educational event, the De Pere Police Department connected with the local youth for an early afternoon fishing trip.
‘Badges and Bobbers’ connected officers with children ages 9-14 from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m., as the event helped children learn how to fish, with a helping hand from local law enforcement.
Designed as a building block and relationship enhancer between kids and those who serve and protect, the event also had some assistance from the De Pere Fire Rescue Department.
The children in attendance were provided with snacks, water and of course, fishing equipment to learn a beloved Wisconsin tradition.
