GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – A child and an adult are now without a home after a house fire in Green Bay on Sunday resulted in an estimated $50,000 worth of damage, authorities say.
According to a release from the Green Bay Metro Fire Department, crews responded at around 6:00 p.m. on June 8 to a house at 2009 Preble Avenue for reports of a house on fire.

Officials on the scene at the single-family home say the fire started in the living room of the home and smoke was seen coming out of several windows on the first floor.
All residents of the home self-evacuated and firefighters were able to safely rescue and return the family’s pet.

The fire was said to be extinguished in less than ten minutes, but it caused an estimated $50,000 in damage and now leaves a child and an adult without a home.
No other information is available at this time, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
