Wednesday started with the Selfie song, and all the contestants taking one. I still don’t know how that is a song. Soooo terrible, but wait first let me take a selfie…
Theme of the night was any Top Ten Hit from 2011 to now.
Our country boy, Dexter, picked the top digital download of all time, of course none other that FGL’s Cruise. The performance was so-so, I feel like he could’ve done more with it. He’s a great singer, it just needed more spark!
But you be the judge of that:
Our other country boy, CJ Harris, chose Hunter Hayes’ Invisible.
There were some other strong performances, but those stuck out to me, maybe biased due to my love for country music.
On Thursday night’s results show, J. Lo performed, so I would have to assume Keith will be performing next week, as we already saw Harry last week.
We had some familiar faces record videos for the contestants that sang their songs: Florida Georgia Line and Hunter Hayes made appearances!
Judges talked about the first time they heard themselves on radio, and I could relate! It is a weird adjustment driving in your car and thinking, oh yeah that’s me.
Besides our two country boys, Alex Preston is a front-runner in my book. I was digging his One Direction performance:
But he does have country links, Jo Dee Messina is his second cousin!
Coming in with the lowest amount of votes this week is MK. The crowd chants “Save Her,” but clearly didn’t help vote. The judges do not use their save, and MK goes home.
Next week, our Top 9 will perform, 5 guys, 4 girls, so until then, Happy Spring!
