Wednesday night.
The contestants just got to Hollywood.. And can we say PLOT TWIST… For the first time ever, right off the plane, all 212 contestants were taken to an airplane hanger, and in walked the judges…
The judges had been reviewing the tapes of all auditions, and they had every contestant they were on the fence about do an on-the-spot performance. It was painful and seemed like we were back at the auditions, people were choking.
Your life was on the line immediately in the contest. They made 50 people re-audition; the others who were safe were released to go to the hotel. They then called the names one at a time and grouped them. One group went to the hotel, the others went home. And they didn’t know their fate until they got to either place, I would’ve been a wreck.
Wisconsin’s own, Jack Janowicz made it to the second round due to 3 yeses in auditions, but then got cut. You always want to see local talent make it big, but I am assuming this won’t be the last we see of him. He tweeted after the show, he is living in LA, and has had some opportunities already.
After many getting sent home in round 2, group time comes. Contestants split up and get to work. Not without drama though, frustration, exhaustion, and sickness force groups to the breaking point.
Thursday night.
I apologize for the late blog and no morning recap on-air this morning but I have good reason I promise! I was at a Cole Swindell, Lee Brice, and Luke Bryan concert last night and it was amazing! Highly recommend joining NASH FM at Country USA!
I did check in with some faithful family watchers.. And here are some things that stuck out..
It was group night.. A country boy band made it through naming themselves the Backstreet Cowboys. J. Lo got so into one performance, she sang along.. You know you are doing something right! 77 hopefuls remain next week…
